pkcrafts.com is a unit of Pekhang Enterprise founded by Dr. Lobsang Tsering. For the last 20 years he was working in the Tibetan refugee community in India as a public health professional. He had visited various Tibetan refugee settlements in India and Nepal as well as the adjacent Indian and Nepali villages and has seen poverty and unemployment among of the communities he had visited. If we can device employment opportunities that are innovative, feasible and labor intensive, then we will be successful in giving gainful employment to many people. Pekhang Enterprise believes that house-hold based industries that generate appreciable income to the family unit living below subsistence level will have positive impact on the health and the education status of the family unit because of the resultant increase in the paying capacity of the member in a household unit. Pekhang Enterprise will focus on product invention/innovation; market/marketing research and marketing of household based produces. We plan to start household-based enterprises in a way that is supportive to the people living below subsistence level.
